If you're cruising through Brandy Station, Virginia and looking for a brewery that’s equal parts laid-back and lively, Old Trade Brewery is worth a detour. Set on rolling farm fields, this family-friendly spot checks all the boxes — good beer, good food, and plenty to keep kids (and kids-at-heart) entertained. Old Trade brings that classic farm brewery vibe to life with wide open spaces, a full kitchen serving up burgers, hot dogs, and other bar favorites, and plenty of activities sprinkled across the property. Today’s visit featured a children's inflatable bounce house set up on the lawn (and a whole playground) a pergola offering shaded seating (they take reservations!), and a make-your-own cowboy hat station out front. We skipped the hat though ☹️ Old Trade also offers axe throwing — because nothing pairs with a craft beer quite like the satisfying thunk of hitting a bullseye. Speaking of drinks, while the brewery offers a full lineup of craft beer, their cider selection is equally strong. Our favorite drink of the visit was the Blackberry Briar cider — a juicy, refreshing pour that perfectly balanced sweet and tart. Between the sweeping farmland views, the activities, and the easygoing atmosphere, Old Trade Brewery feels more like a backyard party than a typical brewery stop. It’s absolutely worth taking the scenic route to experience it.

The Old Trade Brewery & Cidery, is a good place to meet and relax. When we went the kitchen was closed so we ate from the mexican food truck, in front of the building. It’s a good place for kids to play and dogs are allowed on property and in building. On the reviews its says there’s a “dog park”, but the dog park can not be seen well and you can not really use it. The mexican food was good and the portion was large.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would reccomend this place depending on the kind of family you have.
