Voodoo Brewing

Virginia Beach·Food

About

A Virginia Beach taproom where trivia nights and live 90s bands keep things lively enough to raise the decibel level, Voodoo Brewing earns its local reputation through a surprisingly solid food menu — think thin, crispy pizzas, parmesan truffle fries, and bang bang shrimp that outshines typical bar fare. Orders run through an app or at the bar, so the experience skews more laid-back neighborhood hangout than sit-down restaurant. The cream soda beer and Cape Henry Cauliflower are worth singling out.

Stopped in on a busy and lively Saturday night. Beers were great and the food was very good. Based on other reviews it seems like folks are expecting a brewery to have a Michelin star or something? This is bar food folks. The real standout was the staff and atmosphere. I wish we lived closer because we'd stop in much more often.

This place has self service water, self seating, and app ordering. You may or may not get attention from a waiter. The burgers and drinks are really good, but some food items are overpriced for the portion. The $9 entree salad is more like a side salad. The wings were not impressive with flavor. Overall, it was ok but not amazing.
