Tucked into a converted barn along Route 151 in Afton, this 21-and-up Nelson County spot runs two floors ,a downstairs bar and an upstairs loft with darts and a lounge, plus a gazebo patio with Blue Ridge Mountain views. Jim's Legacy Stout is worth seeking out, and the owners Dan and Terri run both the brewery and an on-site B&B with rental units. It draws a local bar crowd rather than the polished winery set that dominates this stretch of wine and brew country.

Stopped by this weekend while camping nearby with my brothers at Misty Mountain. We really enjoyed the beer, the vibes, and the unique story of this establishment. Despite the fact that this is a Packer's Bar, and my family is Browns fans, we definitely felt more than welcome at WildManDan! I personally enjoyed all of the beers in the flight that I sampled from but would highly recommend the Jim's Legacy Stout!

This brewery makes the best beer on 151. The flavors profiles are very distinct and pleasant. The patio and gazebo space was beautiful during the budding spring It also could not be run by two nicer people. I highly recommend it to anyone who really likes great microbrews and good company.
